On October 10, Sarpi Netherlands officially opened a new and extended tank storage facility at its Almelo site. For this project, our mechanics installed kilometers of stainless steel 316 piping, complete with tanks, pumps,\u00a0 valves and instrumentation. The new part of the storage park was connected to the existing infrastructure and the entire installation was brought up to the latest standards.<\/p>\n
Our mechanics worked in an ATEX environment at a fully operational plant. This requires certified expertise in piping and welding and precise execution. As a VCA**\/SCC** certified company, our mechanics are trained and used to work safely. The project could be delivered with minimal production downtime.<\/p>\n
At its Almelo location, Sarpi recycles chemical waste, primarily solvents from industrial processes. Through advanced distillation methods, these solvents are purified and made ready for reuse. To keep pace with growing market demand, storage capacity was expanded from 900 m3 to 1,800 m3.
